10 dead, 62 injured in KP after earthquake

At least 10 people were dead and 62 injured in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, a government official said, after a magnitude 6.5 earthquake with its epicenter in Afghanistan struck late on Tuesday.

According to a report issued by the Provincial Disaster Management Authority, 10 people had died in the earthquake, including two children. The report also said 62 people had been injured.

The report stated that 10 homes had been ompletely destroyed while 55 had been partially destroyed.

Rescue 1122 said landslides damaged a cattle farm in Yasin Ghizer, resulting in the death of livestock.

According to reports, cracks appeared in the Al-Janaat Mall in Rawalpindi and buildings in Islamabad’s Sector E-11.

The deceased in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa include five men, two women and as many children, according to the Provincial Disaster Management Authority KP.
