Water and sanitation Services Company Mardan (WSSCM), and Abdul Wali khan University Mardan (AWKUM) jointly organized one day seminar on plantation and cleanliness in which large number of students, Academia, Social Activist and other stake holder participated.
The main objective of the seminar was to raise public awareness about safe sanitation systems and plantation. At the end of seminar an awareness walk was organized led by Pro-Vice Chancellor Professor Dr, Sultan Ayaz, along with Deputy Manager Customer Relations Rahatullah, Director Institute of Business leadership Professor Dr. Jehanghir, Associate Professor Environmental Science’s department Dr. Shams Ali Baig also participated. During the occasion Speakers said that Thirty-Eight workers die every hour from a disease caused by lack of cleanliness.
They said afforestation is very important for the survival of life including minimizing environmental pollution and preventing urban flooding. Planting is a charity and every member of the society should actively participate in the plantation drive.
