A woman involved in viral “Umairy video” case has allegedly by killed by her father for honour while the reports are yet to be verified independently.

Reports circulating on social media claimed that her father had killed Anam Bibi, who was a married woman. Police have launched an investigation into the incident while the body has reportedly be sent to hospital for medico-legal procedure.

Law enforcement authorities in Faisalabad and Gujranwala reportedly took action following the public reaction. Umair Butt was reported to have been arrested under Section 496B of the Pakistan Penal Code, while the woman featured in the video was also reportedly taken into custody.
