Pakistan Super League (PSL) season 8 will move a step closer to the playoffs with Multan Sultans taking on Peshawar Zalmi for a second time this year tonight.

The two teams are currently tied on points in the PSL 8 table with 8 from as many games with Sultans ahead of Zalmi due to a positive net run rate.

A win tonight will guarantee the victors a place in the playoffs which should give this contest a competitive edge.

Here is all you need to know ahead of the game.

Multan Sultans vs Peshawar Zalmi PSL head-to-head:

Sultans continue to dominate their matchups with a healthy record of 9 wins to 3 which includes a win this season already over the Peshawar franchise.

When and where will the game take place?

Pindi Cricket Stadium will host the game at 7:00 PM (PKT).

Players to watch:

Saim Ayub and Babar Azam have been on an absolute tear as Peshawar’s opening pair in their last few games and will once again look to give them a strong start tonight.

Tom Kohler-Cadmore and Rovan Powell remain their hitting threat but their real challenge will be their bowling attack which was taken to the cleaners by Jason Roy and Quetta Gladiators in their previous game.

Multan has been suffering from the same problem with their bowling not being up to the mark so Usama Mir, Ihsanullah and co will be under a microscope.

Their batting remains their strength with Mohammad Rizwan, Shan Masood, David Miller, and Rilee Rossouw all capable of scoring runs in heaps while the addition of Tim David gives them even more depth.

Form:

Both teams have lost three of their last five games hence their positions on the PSL table but the recentness of their results is of note.

Sultans have lost three games on the trot while Zalmi lost their last game after winning twice.

But Multan has won the previous five meetings between these two sides which should give them hope heading into the match.

Where to watch Multan Sultans vs Peshawar Zalmi?

Ten Sports, PTV Sports, and A Sports will broadcast the game live in Pakistan.
