First phase of LG elections in Sindh will be on June 26

Islamabad: The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) on Wednesday announced that the first phase of the local government (LG) elections in Sindh will be held on June, 26 of this year.

The ECP spokesman tweeted that the first phase includes a total of 14 districts of Sukkur, Larkana, Shaheed Benazirabad and Mirpur special divisions.

“Local body elections will be held in these districts on June 26, 2022.”

الیکشن کمیشن نے صوبہ سندھ کے بلدیاتی انتخابات کے پہلے مرحلے کا الیکشن شیڈول جاری کر دیا۔پہلے مرحلے میں سکھر، لاڑکانہ، شھید بے نظیر آباد اور میرپور خاص ڈویژنز کے کل 14 اضلاع شامل ہیں۔ ان اضلاع میں 26 جون 2022 کو بلدیاتی انتخابات ھونگے۔(1/2)

The statement further said the nomination papers for the first phase of LG elections in Sindh will be submitted to the concerned Returning Officers from May 10 to May 13. After the submission of nomination papers, public notices will be issued by the Returning Officers in their offices on April 28.
