The Anti-corruption Establishment (ACE) Punjab has arrested two government employees and a Proclaimed Offender (PO) over involvement in malpractices, during separate raids in different cities of the province on Wednesday.
A proclaimed offender (PO) namely Muhammad Shahzad, the stamp vendor, was arrested in case FIR. 27/2017.
The accused was PO for the last five years, he fraudulently acquired the house of the complainant.
In case FIR No 334/21 registered in ACE Police Station Muzaffargarh, ACE Punjab has arrested Shafique Ahmed Khan.
The accused was Head Clerk in Irrigation Department Muzaffargarh and prepared bogus court orders of the Labour Court. Shafiq Ahmad received bribe from his co-accused named Hasnain Iqbal to prepare the bogus court orders for regularisation of his services.
In a raid, ACE Punjab, Lahore Region has arrested Anwar Mahmood, the main accused in Case FIR. 12/2021 whereas the co-accused Taqi Sabir, the Patwari, is already under arrest in another FIR. 27/2017. The accused was PO for the last five years, he fraudulently acquired the house of the complainant.
