7 Covid patients die in Kashmir

In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, seven people, including four youth, died due to Covid-19 in the territory.

Of those Covid deaths three took place in Kashmir Valley and four in Jammu region. The fresh Covid positive cases were 633 recorded in the terri-tory of which 240 were registered in Kashmir valley, 307 in Jammu and 86 in Ladakh region. Daily Covid cases in Jammu and Kashmir fell to 34-day low, with 540 infections reported in the last 24 hours even as two persons succumbed to the virus during the time, officials said on Friday.

They said 312 of the fresh cases were reported from Jammu Division and 228 from Kashmir Val-ley, taking the overall infection tally to 449873. On January 7, 542 persons had tested positive for the pathogen in J&K.—KMS
