NEW DELHI – As hijab row continues to deepen in the Karnataka state of India, another video of a Muslim girl being harassed by over 100 male Hindu students has gone viral on social media.
The video caused a stir among social media users who are hitting out at the Indian government for failing to ensure rights to minorities in the country.
A girl named Muskan can be seen getting bullied by a “saffron-scarf clad mob” chanting “Jai Shri Ram” (victory to lord Rama) when she entered her college wearing hijab.

In return, the brave girl chanted “Allah Hu Akbar” (Allah is great) and turned her back towards the mob, India Today reported.
Speaking to the media outlet, the girl said: “They asked me to take my burqa off and were not letting me in. As soon as I entered the college, the group started chanting Jai Shri Ram.”
She revealed that the mob included outsiders and boys from her college, adding that the college staff supported her in that situation.
“I was scared when the mob surrounded me,” she added.
