INDIA is not refraining from its mischiefs both against Pakistan and China.
Whilst increasing tension once again at the Line of Actual Control (LAC) with China, its submarine on last Saturday tried to enter Pakistani waters but our ever ready valiant and professional naval force once again foiled the enemy’s nefarious machination.
The entire nation salutes the naval force for defending the maritime frontiers of the motherland.
The Oct 16 incident was the third time an Indian naval submarine had been detected and tracked by the Pakistan Navy’s long-range maritime patrol aircraft.
The last such reported incident occurred in March 2019 when the Navy had detected and thwarted a similar attempted entry by an Indian submarine.
Another such attempt was made by India in November 2016. It was always Pakistan Navy which rose to the occasion and forced the enemies to bite the dust and flee.
However, these very acts on the part of India’s military and political leadership clearly demonstrate their desperation.
Through different tactics, India wants to destabilize Pakistan including through its proxies, but it is our security forces which are standing before them like an unbreakable solid rock.
As regards the latest Indian effort to intrude Pakistani waters, the UN Convention on Law of Sea does not allow a state to carry out manoeuvres or exercises in the Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ) and in the continental shelf of another coastal state without its consent.
EEZ signifies an area of coastal water and seabed within a certain distance of a country’s coastline that cannot be entered without permission or prior information.
In view of this, the world community must not stay silence on what could be called the Indian aggression, take notice of it and take the necessary action to avert such occurrences in future.
India has really proved to be a spoiler of peace in the region and if its extremist leaders were not reined in, the country will turn into a monster posing threat to the global peace and stability.
And most importantly, given the importance gained by Pakistan as a result of CPEC and Gwadar deep sea port and the potential they carry for trade in the region and beyond, our government must take all the necessary steps to lace Pakistan Navy with all the latest tools and equipment including vessels and warships so that the force could continue to discharge its duty i.e. maritime security in the most effective and efficient manner.
