India is using important technical forum like Financial Action Task Force (FATF) for achieving narrow political designs against Pakistan.
A report released by Kashmir Media Service, today, said even the Indian External Affairs Minister, S. Jaishankar in July this year admitted that the Narendra Modi government had “ensured” that Pakistan remained on the grey list of the FATF.
It said, Pakistan deserves international support not a place on the Financial Action Task Force (FATF) grey list at its next meeting to be held later this month. It said significant progress made by Pakistan on FATF action items has left no room for further keeping the country on the grey list.
Despite Indian conspiracies and propaganda, Pakistan hopes that FATF will not make a politically motivated decision at the next meeting.
The report said if decisions are based on merit, then Pakistan’s name surely would be removed from the FATF’s grey list.
“There is no justification to keep Pakistan on grey list after it fulfilled almost all action items of FATF. Pakistan government has made substantial progress in making its counter-terrorism financing systems stronger and more effective,” it said.
The report maintained that manipulating an important technical forum for achieving narrow political designs is what India has been doing for long.
It deplored that Modi-led India is trying to destroy credibility of global institutions like FATF for fulfilling its nefarious political designs.—INP
