Vice Chairman LDA, SM Imran on Monday resigned from his post and sent his resignation to Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar.
According to a copy of the resignation, SM Imran resigned due to personal reasons. The text of the resignation said that he was grateful to Prime Minister Imran Khan and Punjab Chief Minister Usman Bazdar for electing him to the post.
In his resignation, he also mentioned 14 important issues and his achievements he had made during his stunt as vice chairman LDA.
The achievements included facilitations for the approval of maps and societies in the LDA, facilitation of the process of commercialization in the city, resolution of chronic problems of 20-year-old LDA Avenue and 12-years old LDA City.
Meanwhile, The drivers of Metro Bus Service went on strike on Monday leaving hundreds of passengers in trouble due to closure of the service in the City.
The protesting driver claimed that they have not been paid salaries and benefits they are supposed to get. They declared that they will continue their protest until their demands are fulfilled.
They regretted that more than 100 Metro bus drivers deprived of allowances and other benefits. The drivers parked 64 Metro buses at Nishtar Town Metro Depot in protest.
They refused to run buses until they receive the money. Due to suspension of metro bus service from Shahdara to Gajumata, passengers faced geat problems to rah their destinations.
