KOHAT – Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) on Thursday arrested four Afghan nationals in Peshawar for their alleged involvement in fraudulently obtaining Pakistani national identity cards and passports, officials said.
According to official sources, the FIA Peshawar Zone received credible information that some Afghan nationals were staying at Spin Ghar Hostel in Shaheen Town Peshawar, allegedly seeking to obtain Pakistani identity cards and passports illegally through agents.
Acting on the information, a team of the FIA Anti-Human Trafficking Circle (AHTC) Peshawar raided the hostel and arrested the four suspects, identified as Siddiqullah, Rahmatullah, Abdullah and Nasir, all Afghan nationals.
During the raid, officials recovered copies of Pakistani national identity cards bearing the suspects’ photographs. The documents were seized as evidence. During preliminary investigation, the suspects allegedly disclosed that they had obtained the identity cards with the assistance of an agent identified as Talat, alias Pir. Officials said the suspects were also unable to produce valid Pakistani visas.
FIA registered Case No. 208/2026 against the suspects at the AHTC Peshawar under Sections 419, 420, 468, 471 and 109 of the Pakistan Penal Code, along with Section 14 of the Foreigners Act, 1946.
