Sindh Madressatul Islam University (SMIU) in collaboration with the Distinguished, Innovations, Collaboration & Entrepreneurship (DICE) Foundation USA, will host a two-day event titled “Creative Arts and Media Summit and Exhibition” at the Expo Centre Karachi.
The two-day mega event will start on Monday [October 14]. Renowned journalists, actors, educationists, politicians and human right activists will take part in different sessions.
The SMIU Vice Chancellor Dr. Muhammad Ali Shaikh has said that the Creative Art is emerging as an industry across the globe. He said the panelists will discuss various issue the media industry in Pakistan has been facing.
Dr Muhammad Ali Shaikh has invited the teachers, students, media persons and general public to attend the mega event and learn new ideas.
The panelists participating in the two-day event include human right activist I. A. Rehman, senior journalists Mazhar Abbas, Wusat Ullah Khan, Masood Raza, Najia Asher and others.
Seema Tahir, the CEO of Geo TV One, Muhammad Ahmed Shah, the president of Pakistan Arts Council, Samina Ahmed, producer and actor, Paras Masroor, actor and host, Haseena Moin, dramatist and scriptwriter, Usman Pirzada, film director, Tina Sani, artist, Hina Bayat, actress, Ameena Saiyid, former managing director Oxford University Press and several others will talk on different issues, including films, dramas, graphics, animation, music and journalism.
Dr Shaikh, I.R. Rehman and Sindh Minister for Mines and Mineral Development, Public Health Engineering and Rural Development Mr Shabbir Ali Bijarani will speak the inaugural session, starting start at 11:00 am on Monday.
