Plantation drive has started in Chilas Thorunder the Ten Billion Tree Tsunami Program 50,000 different types of plants being planted in district Diamer Chilas.
Conservator Muhammad Yaqoob formally kicked off the inauguration ceremony by planting a tree at main city Chilas Thor.
Addressing the participants on the occasion, he said that we should preserve nature as well as plant new trees to tackle the issue of climate change.
He also said that Trees and plants are the prime source of environmental purification and beautification and create a healthy effect, both physically and psychologically, on human beings.
He discussed that the people of Diamer look cooperative to plant and care for new trees.
