As per its tradition, this year too, warm clothes and comforters were distributed among the slum dwellers and the marginalized communities living in the slum areas of Islamabad and Rawalpindi.
This human-friendly act was taken in the loving memory of great philanthropist of Pakistan, founder of the Hamdard Foundation and an authority in traditional/eastern medicine Hakim Muhammad Saeed.
A team of the Hamdard Foundation led by the Manager Protocol & Public Relations Hayat Bhatti distributed the comforters among the slum dwellers. While talking briefly to media on the occasion, Bhatti said Hamdard Foundation’s network of charity and philanthropy had spread all across the country and in the holy month of Ramazan free ration and food items worth millions of rupees were distributed among the poor and the needy.
Similarly on the occasion of Youm-e-Naunehalaan-e-Pakistan that coincides with the Birth Anniversary of Hakim Saeed position holder students are given by the Hakim Saeed Scholarships Awards in recognition of their talent and achievement. This year too, on the 101st Birth Anniversary of Hakim Saeed (Jan 9) awards were given to the position holder students in the Matriculation and the Intermediate examinations.
Hayat Bhatti said the Hamdard Foundation would continue with the noble legacy of Hakim Saeed and in future too, such awards would be given to the talented students.
