Three separate cases were registered in two police stations against a doctor and his companions for causing death of a patient by alleged negligence and over 300 persons for ransacking a hospital during protest.
According to details, a young patient named Khurram (20) was killed in a private hospital near Gunnah village at Sialkot Pasroor road, in the limits of the Sadder Sialkot police station, due to alleged negligence of the doctors.
The angry relatives of the deceased man and other citizen on Tuesday staged a protest in front of the branch of the above mentioned private hospital at Commissioner road, in the limits of the Kotwali police station, and then ransacked the hospital.
The Sadder Sialkot police have registered a case against Dr Najaf Sial and two unidentified staffers of the said private hospital on report of Muhammad Rasheed, the uncle of the deceased man.
On the other hand the Kotwali police on reports of Ch Maqsood, owner of the private hospital, and sub-Inspector Mubarak have registered two cases against over 300 persons including, Zaid, Aebab, Talha, Danish, Saqlain and many others for ransacking the hospital, taking away medicine and causing hurdle in the flow of traffic by blocking the road. The police have started further investigation of the matter.
