Chairman Pak Sarzameen Party Syed Mustafa Kamal on Tuesday said that unjust with Karachi is an unjust with each individual belonging to all ethnic backgrounds. Karachi is not a city of one sub nationality. I call out to my Sindhi brothers that the capital of Sindh is our identity which is currently being targeted by Pakistan’s enemy forces. Karachi earns more than 90% revenue of Sindh, those who do not count its population correctly are enemies of Pakistan and want to destroy it. Kamal said that it would be understandable if an enemy of the country did this injustice, but unfortunately it’s our state and government which is doing this. He said the problem of Karachi is the problem of entire Sindh. Seizer of the resources of Karachi is as same as seizer of the resources of entire Sindh. There are millions of Sindhis, Pakhtuns, Mohajirs, Punjabis, Balochs, Seraikis, Kashmiris, Bengalis, Gilgit-Balti, Hazaras and all other sub-nationalities. The acknowledgement of government’s “move of approving the controversial census results] means in practical sense that Karachi does not have water, sewerage, education, health, employment and infrastructure problems. The population of Karachi is no less than 25.75 million. From this ratio 1240 million gallons of water (MGD) is required out of which 660 million gallons are currently being received. There is a shortfall of about 580 million gallons per day. The requirement will be 800 million gallons per day followed by another 140 million gallons. Citizens of Karachi are not getting water, jobs, development funds anyway. Even if PFC award is launched now, Karachiites will not get their due share. The people living in the rural areas of Sindh had pinned hopes that they would be freed from the clutches of landlords and Waderas, with the increase in urban population, national and provincial assemblies seats would be shifted to cities. A silent revolution was taking place, but that was blocked by the enemies of the country’s development.
