Peshawar Electric Supply Company (PESCO) teams arrested several members of a gang involved in electricity meter-tampering during operation in Chackdara near Swat on Monday, Dunya News reported. According to PESCO officials, the gang had been tampering with the electricity meters for the past 11 years. Meter-tampering equipment and tools were recovered during the operation.
PESCO officials informed that the members of the arrested inter-provincial gang comprise of trained and skilled technicians and were involved in tampering with the electricity meters of PESCO, IESCO and LESCO. A case has been registered against the members of the arrestedinter-provincial gang and further investigation has been started.—INP
