The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) carried out 14 operations against drug trafficking in different parts of Pakistan, arresting 8 suspects and seizing a total of 1 ton 74 kg of drugs and 1830 narcotic tablets.
In Karachi, 10 kg of ice was recovered from a parcel sent to Japan at a courier office on Shaara-e-Faisal, while 640 grams of ice was found in a book parcel for Qatar at a courier office in Johar Town, Lahore.
Elsewhere in Punjab, 110.4 kg of opium and 403.2 kg of hashish were seized from a vehicle at Faisalabad Aminpur interchange, while 130 kg of hashish was recovered during an operation in the Peshukan area of Gwadar.
In Sindh, 110 kg of hashish was recovered from a truck on the road near Shikarpur in Sukkur.
In Balochistan, 100 kg of hashish was recovered from Chaman, while 84 kg of opium was found in an uninhabited area of NokundiChagai.
In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 51.4 kg of hashish was recovered from the Bajaur area. Additionally, 14.4 kg of opium and 28.8 kg of hashish were seized from a vehicle on Varisak Road, and the accused was arrested.
