The Punjab Food Authority (PFA) seized 40 tons of dead meat from Bakarmundi Lahore, while cracking down on traders involved in the supply of dead meat. According to media reports, DG PFA told on Sunday that the PFA team found the meat being prepared for supply on the floor. The defective meat was seized and destroyed. On the same day, the PFA team in Gujranwala caught nine consignments of dead chickens being supplied to hotels.
The PFA team said that the chickens were being supplied from Sadhoki to Gujranwala. When the supplier’s vehicle was checked on the basis of suspicion, all the chickens in it were found dead.
