In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, illegally detained senior leader of All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) Ghulam Ahmed Gulzar has said that the Jammu carnage of 1947 is one of the biggest massacres and the worst tragedy of human history.
Hundreds of thousands of Kashmiris were massacred by the forces of Dogra Maharaja Hari Singh, Indian army and Hindu extremists in different parts of Jammu region while they were migrating to Pakistan during the first week of November in 1947.
Ghulam Ahmed Gulzar in a statement issued from Srinagar Central Jail deplored that the massacre was part of the systematic genocide to eliminate Muslim community and change the demography of the territory. Modi-led fascist regime is planning another massacre like 1947 to make Kashmir part of Hindu Rashtra and impose devilish Hindutva ideology on Kashmiris, he added.
He urged the people to observe November 6 as Martyrs’ Day and renew the pledge that the mission of the Kashmiri martyrs would be accomplished at all costs.
The APHC leader appealed to the Kashmiris to commemorate the historic Jammu Martyrs’ Day on both sides of the Line of Control and the rest of the world to pay tributes to the martyrs of the freedom movement. He also appealed to the people to organize anti-India demonstrations, seminars and symposiums on that day.
Ghulam Ahmed Gulzar said the Modi-led RSS Hindutva regime is hell bent to turn Kashmir into a graveyard and for the purpose over one million trigger-happy troops have been deployed in the territory. Killing, torture, arson, arrests and molestation of women have become order of the day, he added.—KMS
