ISLAMABAD – The National Emergency Operations Center has issued an advisory warning of rain accompanied by thunderstorms and gusty winds in various parts of Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa over the next 24 hours.
The National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) said Rawalpindi and Islamabad are likely to experience strong winds, thunderstorms, and rainfall. Similar weather conditions are expected in Faisalabad, Lahore, Narowal, Attock, Jhelum, Chakwal, Mianwali, and Sialkot.
In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the advisory forecasts rain with thunder and windstorms in several districts, including Mardan, Peshawar, Swabi, Charsadda, Nowshera, Battagram, Mansehra, and Abbottabad.
Meanwhile, hot and dry weather is expected to prevail in most districts of Sindh and Balochistan.
On Thursday, Sibi recorded the highest temperature in the country at 51 degrees Celsius, highlighting the intensifying summer heat in southern regions.
