Flour price and ministers
Flour price is going up day by day. Instead of taking strict measures to control this price hike, government has different versions. Sheikh Rasheed is of the views that in winter season people eat more bread, which is the reason of expensive flour.
KP minister says consuming white flour may cause cancer. Such absurd excuses show the dedication with which they are serving the country. The price mechanism needs to be reviewed and strictly implemented to control the uncontrollable dearness.

*******
Flour price in Sindh has reached an alarming price. Its reported that flour is sold at Rs. 70 per kg because of mismanagement in godowns administered by government. Due to scarcity of wheat in public warehouses, the rate of flour has broken all previous records.
On the other hand, poor people are left with no option other than committing suicide. It’s indeed an open offer of genocide for lower class. This seems as if there is jungle rule, might is right and survival of fittest. Do not massacre poor class in naya Pakistan. Increasing rate of flour is same as snatching right of oxygen from poor.

IGP transfer
The differences between IGP Sindh Syed Kaleem Imam and PPP government over transfer and postings of police officers and his refusal to accept political intervention in his domain have further worsened after publication of police report of SSP Shikarpur Dr.Rizwan accusing sitting ministers from Shikarpur and Karachi and their cronies for alleged criminal activities.
The civil service that once considered being prestigious independent service has now lost its worth at the hands of political masters. If senior PSP officers like IGP and SSPs are compelled to work as per desire of local politicians like their personal servants instead of following the rules then what governance one can expect. If senior officers shall be humiliated, disgraced, discouraged and booted out from their postings mere discharging their duties as per law & merit then who will join civil service as a career?
A big question arises here whether civil servants are the employees of state or personal slaves of rulers? Earlier AD Khuwaja, Bashir Memon, Sanaullah Abbasi, Mohad Ali Naikookara, Zulfiqar Cheema and many others were removed without any plausible reasoning and justification.
This boorish and harsh treatment meted out to upright and meritorious officers will further demoralise civil services. Federal government which claims to be the champion of the change and transparency, should make legislation in this regard to protect the dignity and respect of civil bureaucracy and to purge it from outer influence and intervention in their work to make it strengthen and independent in the larger national interest.

No mercy for killers
Senior lawyer, Indira Jaisingh has asked Nirbhaya’s parents Badrinath and Asha Devi to forgive their daughter’s killers just as Sonia Gandhi has forgiven her husband’s killer (Nalini). Who is Indira Jaisingh to tell Nirbhaya’s parents to do this?
Does she have a daughter and if she has one, has she been gang-raped and killed? She should understand the trauma Nirbhaya’s parents have been going through after her daughter’s death. Sonia Gandhi is a former Catholic and she still follows the teachings of the Catholic Church — to forgive our enemies just as Jesus Christ has forgiven us of our wrong doings.
But Nirbhaya’s parents are not Catholics, so how can they forgive their daughter’s killers? Justice should be given to Nirbhaya’s parents and the four convicts (Mukesh Singh, Vinay Sharma, Pawan Gupta and Akshay Kumar Singh) should be hanged at the earliest so that Nirbhaya’s (real name, Jyoti Singh) soul may rest in peace.

Inflation storm
Inflation is one of the most serious problems being faced by people of Pakistan. Rate of inflation is very high in Pakistan and high inflation has always affected poor and people are facing difficulty to eat one time in a day because of inflation rate. However government steps to control the inflation rate have totally failed.
Inflation storm is out of control because prices of items like milk, wheat, rice, meat, vegetables and medicine are too high in Pakistan. High inflation has dashed hopes of poor and needy people who were looking forward to a better future in “New Pakistan”. Present government has done nothing worthwhile to bring down inflation to a reasonable level.

Misbehaviour with patients
I visited Karachi’s Jinnah Hospital last Tuesday. While at counter, I saw a woman who was seeking information about a doctor. But the person on counter answered in such a bad manner that the woman felt ashamed.
It is the right of a patient to ask and know whereabouts of doctors, so they must be guided with respect and dignity, instead they face ire of such people who do not qualify be called humans. Due to this attitude patients face multiple challenges and problems.
I would like to suggest those at counters and doctors not to show aggressive behaviours to patients, rather care for them and treat them as best as you can.

Kashmir and Islamic world
Apropos your editorial Kashmir and Islamic world. Kashmir still bleeds on daily basis as nothing has been done to stop India. Islamic countries neither paying heeds nor acting on behalf of Kashimir Muslims to force Indian PM Modi to reverse abrogated Article 370 and 35A of Indian constitution.
Despite having nuclear power, Pakistan is doing nothing because Modi has strong trade and business relations with many Islamic countries. Pakistan has warned Global powers that this dispute is a nuclear flashpoint, but world turned blind eye and this gave Modi an opportunity to perform horrified acts in Kashmir. Concluding, we should not wait for having some kind of favour from Islamic countries because they use Pakistan only for their convenience.

Quetta faces gas shortage
Quetta, capital city of Balochistan, is severely facing winter shortage of gas that is greatly adding to the miseries of the people. However gas shortage in the city meant that many families couldn’t operate heaters and geysers inside their homes and continue to remain at the mercy of harsh weather causing many ailments and other daily problems.
Total number of deaths has crossed 100 in the province due to cold weather conditions. The present government doesn’t seem to understand the seriousness of the issue. Will more deaths and miseries would jolt it to come out of the slumber.

Acid attackers
The life of number of females has been destroyed because of acid attackers. Most of the times when females refuse the proposal of males or their family members, males apply this worst act in order to take revenge. After getting their faces and body damaged, no one marries the victims. I request authorities concerned to award exemplary punishments to these culprits who play with the life of innocent females.

Global warming
Global Warming is a big issue all over the world. The world temperature is increasing day by. This is all because of industrial revolution use fossil fuels; and also because of deforestation. Fuels are getting burnt in each and every activity in this modern era; it produces numerous amounts of toxic gases that have enveloped our beautiful planet. If it goes like this nothing will be able to live in coming century.
The remedy of this problem is growing more and more trees but unfortunately people are doing the opposite. Instead of growing they are cutting the trees just for the greed. Trees are the only way out this issue, everyone needs to grow as many trees as possible for keeping our planet a safe place to live in.
