Uzbekistan has provided 4,000 tonnes of food and medicine aid to Afghanistan, an official said on Sunday.
The aid included wheat, cooking oil, garments, medicine, vaccine and other essential items, Zabihullah Mujahid, the government acting spokesperson wrote on his twitter handle.
Mujahid thanked Uzbekistan President Shavkat Mirziyoyev for his generous assistance to the people of Afghanistan on the eve of Eid.
He said the aid was handed over to the Islamic Emirate officials by the special representative of the Uzbekistan president. —Pajhwok
