UAE has emerged as an economic and tourism hub in the country with huge number of people travelling to the country from various parts of the world, including Pakistan.

Information available on official website of the UAE states that passengers departing from or arriving in the UAE and carrying cash, or financial instruments exceeding AED 60,000 or an equivalent amount in other currencies, are required to declare it to the customs authorities.

The passengers with more than 60,000 dirhams must declare it to Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs & Ports Security (ICP).

A traveler can also declare the money through the official website or the Afseh app available on Google Play and App Store.

For passengers under the age of 18, the amount in their possession will be added to the permitted limit of their parent/guardian or accompanier, the official website said.
