UPA meeting in Jammu warns of agitation against looting of IIOJK resources

The United Peace Alliance, an amalgam of various political and social organizations in illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, has said that India is looting the natural resources of the territory, while Kashmiris are deprived of all basic facilities.

In an important meeting of “United Peace Alliance” held in Jammu, concern was raised over the severe power outage in the occupied territory. The meeting said that the power projects of the occupied territory have been given in the control of Indian companies on the instructions of the Indian Ministry of Home Affairs.

The meeting observed that Indian officers are issuing arbitrary orders to disempower the people of Jammu and Kashmir. The participants warned that that a protest movement will be launched against the looting of resources of Kashmiris by the Modi regime.

The meeting demanded a transparent investigation into the killing of three innocent civilians in the custody of Indian army in Bafliaz area of Poonch district.

The meeting was attended by United Peace Alliance Chairman Mir Shahid Saleem, ID Khajuria, Manish Sahni, Dr. Muhammad Hussain, Sunny Kant Cheb, Muhammad Maqbool, Inder Dev Singh, Mahfouz Chaudhary, Santosh Kashmiri, Masoor Magre, Farooq Ahmed and Muhammad Haqnawaz.—KMS
