RAWALPINDI – Chief of the General Staff (CGS) of British Army General Sir Charles Roland Vincent Walker called on Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir of Pakistan Army, at General Headquarters (GHQ) in Rawalpindi today.
The two top military commanders held wide-ranging talks on regional security dynamics, evolving global threats, and avenues to further boost defence cooperation between Pakistan and the United Kingdom. Both sides reaffirmed their resolve to continue close collaboration in the pursuit of lasting peace and stability across the region.

General Walker lauded the Pakistan Army’s monumental sacrifices and successes in the war against terrorism, acknowledging its crucial role in promoting regional peace and international security.
Earlier in the day, the visiting dignitary received a ceremonial guard of honour at GHQ. He also paid rich tribute to Pakistan’s martyrs by laying a floral wreath at the Yadgar-e-Shuhada, a solemn gesture symbolizing mutual respect and solidarity.
The visit underscores the deep-rooted military partnership between Pakistan and the United Kingdom, reflecting growing mutual trust and a shared vision for regional stability and global peace.
