Punjab Assembly Speaker Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi on Sunday said that the trade community has very important role in the national economy and their prosperity will result in the prosperity of the country.
“The entire world’s economic system has collapsed because of Corona, especially developing countries have been greatly impacted by this pandemic. However, it is time to put in more and sincere efforts for revival of the economy and undoing impact of the Coronavius pandemic.”
Ch Pervaiz Elahi said that traders of Sialkot and of the entire country are playing their vital role in the revival the national economy.
The PA speaker was talking to Sialkot Chamber of Commerce and Industry President Ch Qaiser Iqbal Baryaar who along with a delegation called on him at his residence here on Sunday.
Senior Vice-President Muslim League Punjab Ch Salim Baryaar, former SCCI president Malik Muhammad Ashraf and SIAL Airlines Vice-Chairman Mian Ahsan besides MNA Moonis Elahi were also present on the occasion.
Felicitating Qaiser Iqbal Baryaar on being elected unopposed as the SCCI president, Ch Pervaiz Elahi and Moonis Elahi said that the traders community has very important role and the dream of development can never be materialized without their development. Ch Pervaiz Elahi said that the government has taken various measures to facilitate the traders and promote businesses.
“Specially steps have been taken for ease of doing business, which will result in attracting huge foreign investment”, he pointed out, adding that the entire world’s economic system has collapsed because of Corona especially developing countries have been greatly impacted by this pandemic.
The government has taken comprehensive measures for offsetting impact of the Corona and revival of businesses and industry. He said that traders of Sialkot and of the entire country are playing their vital role in reviving the national economy.
Ch Pervaiz Elahi said that his party has always strived for public welfare and objective of his politics is to serve the masses. He said that the PML-Q will spare no efforts for prosperity of the public and development of the country.
He said that his party will take part in the upcoming local bodies election in a vigorous manner and bring forth true public leadership to resolve public issues at their threshold.
Pervaiz Elahi pledged that his party will make efforts for resolution of the problems being faced by the business community.
Expressing gratitude to Ch Pervaiz Elahi and Moonis Elahi, Qaiser Iqbal Baryaar said that Sialkot Airport and traders bodies are grateful to them for the welfare projects PML government executed when it was in power in Punjab and in the centre.
“The steps Pervaiz Elahi took as the Punjab chief minister for the development of Sialkot, have been paying its dividend and people at large are reaping its benefits now.”
He said that the entire Punjab province witnessed unprecedented development during the era of Q-League from health sector to police reforms or industrialization.
