PESHAWAR – Mansehra, along with other regions in Hazara, is buzzing with political tension as the district administration orders a complete 3-day closure of all public and private schools from November 22 to 24 due to the crucial NA-18 by-election.

Authorities say school closure aims to prevent any disruptions during election activities, with highly anticipated vote scheduled for November 23, 2025. The entire region is already witnessing intense political activity.

School calendars are shifting as exam season and winter holidays kick in. In frigid regions of Balochistan, government schools will remain closed for a staggering 2.5 months starting December 16, giving students an unusually long winter break.

Local exams for grades 1 to 7 are set from November 16 to 24, while grade 8 board exams begin on November 24, keeping students and parents on edge.

In Punjab, winter holidays are expected to be from December 23, 2025, to January 11, 2026, with schools reopening on January 13.
