The initiative includes road resurfacing, footpath repairs, streetlight restoration, drainage and sewerage improvements, and beautification of commercial hubs like Super Market, Blue Area, and Jinnah Super.
For traders will be consulted to minimize disruption, and experienced architects will oversee aesthetic upgrades. CDA aims to use modern machinery and internal resources to improve civic services while enhancing the city’s overall safety, functionality, and visual appeal.
CDA approved ambitious, citywide rehabilitation plan aimed at upgrading every sector of metropolis. The initiative promises uniform road repairs, complete streetlight restoration, and massive improvements to drainage and sewerage networks across the city.
The announcement came during high-level meeting chaired by CDA Chairman Muhammad Ali Randhawa, where officials reviewed the state of civic infrastructure and examined detailed surveys of roads, streets, and commercial centers.
Under this plan, every sector will get consistent road carpeting, patchwork, and reconstruction. Footpaths will be repaired, and new ones constructed where needed, while malfunctioning streetlights and poles will be replaced or upgraded to improve both safety and visibility.
Additional improvements include new signage, lane markings, rubber speed breakers, and major upgrades to sewerage and drainage systems, including manholes and curbstones.
CDA’s initiative aims not only to modernise civic services but also to restore the capital’s aesthetic charm, turning it into a model city that is both functional and visually spectacular.
