QUETAA – The education department of Balochistan has announced the schedule of winter holidays for schools in the cold region as mercury continues to drop.
The department said all government schools in the cold regions of the province will remain closed for two and a half months, starting December 16, 2025.
This decision comes as part of measures to manage the harsh winter conditions in the region.
When Will Winter Holidays 2025 Start?
The winter holidays 2025 will start from 16 December 2025 in Balochsitan, with schools reopening after a break of two and half months.
Meanwhile, in Chaman, the annual examinations for students from first grade to seventh grade have already begun.
The exams are scheduled to run from November 16 to November 24. Starting from November 24, the 8th grade exams will be conducted under the Balochistan Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education.
Punjab Winter Vacations 2025 Schedule
The Punjab government has reportedly released the winter holidays schedule 2025 for educational institutions in the province.
The education department said winter vacations will begin on December 23, 2025, and will run until January 10, 2026.
Schools in Punjab, both public and private, will remain closed during this period. Educational institutions will reopen on January 13, 2026, marking the end of the winter break.
The schedule applies uniformly to all schools across the province, ensuring that both government and private schools follow the same holiday timeline.

Amid smog mayhem, DG Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Dr. Imran Hameed Sheikh confirmed that all government and private schools, including those in Lahore, will now open no earlier than 8:45.am starting Monday, November 3, 2025. The new schedule will stay in place until January 31, 2026.
