LAHORE – Daytime temperatures will gradually rise in Lahore and plains of Punjab due to the lack of significant rains on Tuesday and the following 2-3 days.
As per the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), continental air prevails over most parts of Pakistan.
Under these conditions, mainly hot and dry weather is predicted in Lahore and most parts of Punjab on Monday evening/night and the following 2-3 days. However, dry weather is likely in Murree, Galyat and surroundings. Day temperatures are likely to increase gradually in plain areas.
Lahore’s maximum temperatures will likely remain between 39-41 degrees Celsius on Tuesday and 40-42 C on Wednesday.
Meanwhile, hot and dry weather prevailed in Lahore and most parts of the province during the last 24 hours.
Sahiwal, Bahawalpur, Dera Ghazi Khan, Multan, Faisalabad and Sargodha remained the hottest places in the province where the maximum temperature was recorded at 30 C. In Sahiwal, Bahawalpur, Dera Ghazi Khan, Multan, Faisalabad and Sargodha, relative humidity during the morning was recorded at 47 per cent, 54 per cent, 55 per cent, 57 per cent, 43 per cent and 42 per cent respectively.
In Lahore, maximum temperature was recorded at 38 C. Relative humidity during the morning was recorded at 39 per cent.
