KARACHI – An online taxi driver who dropped Mir Raza Ali at his destination has revealed key details about the ride, including the route taken and his interaction with the passenger.
Driver Ehsanullah said that Mir Raza booked the ride at 3:57pm. Ehsanullah said he called him at 4:07pm after reaching the pickup location, and the ride began at 4:09pm.
The driver said they travelled from Khalid Bin Waleed Road to Tariq Road and then proceeded towards Bahadurabad.
From there, they travelled towards the Stadium area, Millennium Mall and Perfume Chowk, before heading towards Johar Mor and Mosamiyat.
Ehsanullah said Mir Raza later asked him to drop him at a particular location and told him that he would guide him along the way. The driver said he followed the route as directed by the passenger.
He added that Mir Raza played songs during the journey and asked him to drive faster at one point.
According to Ehsanullah, Mir Raza did not make any phone calls during the ride but continued using his mobile phone.
The driver said he has the complete record of the journey and details of the route taken.
Ehsanullah also claimed that no one was present at the location where he dropped Mir Raza.
The driver’s statement provides a timeline of Mir Raza’s movements during the journey and could help investigators establish his whereabouts and movements before and after the ride.
The authorities are expected to examine the ride record and other available information as they continue investigating the circumstances surrounding the case.
