WHILE the world is busy to grapple with unprecedented challenge of Corona Virus, Modi Junta is busy in exploiting the situation to target Muslims both in India and occupied Jammu & Kashmir. The vicious extremist Hindus including those from the ruling party have been continuously inciting hatred against Muslims, claiming that Muslims are deliberately spreading Corona Virus to harm India. Then under the pretext of Corona tests, Indian authorities have also started arresting Muslims. According to a British wire service report, the pandemic has come as a new form of misery for the already beleaguered Muslim community in India, who now has to face persecution in the name of quarantine and isolation. This vitriol against Muslims has once against exposed the RSS inspired Hindutva mindset of the Modi government, which has proved time and again of going to any extent to push Muslims to the wall. How the Muslims were massacred and their properties ransacked in Delhi a few months back along with anti- Muslim legislation lays bare the true face of Modi government. Some human rights organisations have reportedly voiced their concerns over the plight of Indian Muslims but these are not enough to stop Modi from his violent persecution campaign. The human rights champions especially the Western countries will have to come forward with concrete actions to stop him from his malicious campaign. Modi’s track record and anti-Muslim posture is well registered and recorded. He is the same person who killed thousands of Muslims in Gujarat during his stint as the Chief Minister. Muslims should never expect anything good from these extremist Hindus. This is also a clear signal for Muslim countries that are trying to strengthen their economic relations with New Delhi. Time has come for collective conscious of all the Muslim countries to shun their expediency at this critical juncture and speak unambiguously and emphatically for the protection of Muslim population in India before it is too late. Until and unless influential Muslim countries send a clear and loud signal to Modi, he will continue to spill the blood of innocent Muslims. We will also ask Prime Minister Imran Khan to take up the plight of Indian Muslims and those in occupied Jammu & Kashmir more forcefully with all Muslim capitals.
