Speakers at a Kashmir conference have strongly condemned the fresh killing spree and gross human rights violations by Indian troops in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

The conference, “Sacrifices of Kashmiri people and our Responsibility” was organized by the AJK chapter of Jammu and Kashmir Insaf Party in Buner district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Tehreek-e-Hurriyat Jammu Kashmir Convener, Ghulam Mohammad Safi, was chief guest on the occasion.

Addressing the conference, Ghulam Mohammad Safi, said that students and media could play important role in highlighting the Kashmir dispute.

India is violating all international laws and the UN resolutions but all human rights organizations are turning a blind eye on the gross rights abuses in IIOJK.

Hurriyat leader, Imtiaz Wani said, “We are living in 21st century and media, especially social media, is very important to highlight any issue.

We should use twitter trends, Facebook, and other social media platforms to raise our voice against Indian atrocities in IIOJK.

”Hurriyat leader, Zahid Safi, highlighted the plight of people of the occupied territory and said that hundreds of thousands people were killed and many were blinded by pellet guns but India had failed to break the will of the Kashmiri people.

Hurriyat leader, Sheikh Abdul Mateen, in his speech said the Kashmiris have been fighting since 1947 for their freedom from India.—KMS
