Six die in rain-related incidents in City


Six persons including two children died in rain-related incidents in different areas of the metropolis during heavy Friday morning.
According to rescue and health sources, four members of a family including two children died when roof of their house collapsed in Bund Road area. Rescuers pulled out the dead bodies from under the debris and shifted to hospital.
Meanwhile, two people were dead and three were trapped under the debris after a roof of a house situated at Bandar Road collapsed.
Rescue teams reached the spot and carrying relief activities to recover the bodies and the injured. Heavy monsoon rains have been reported in different parts of the province since Tuesday.
The city received heavy rain Friday morning and almost all areas of the metropolis were lashed by the downpour.
Heavy rainfall continues in different parts of Punjab resulting in several roads flooded with water, causing difficulties for the people.
