Following directives from Sindh CM Syed Murad Ali Shah, Provincial Advisor for Fisheries Syed NajmiAlam has imposed a five-day ban on fishing across Sindh. This decision comes after a rain emergency meeting at the Chief Minister’s House. Alam informed the fishing community that, according to the Meteorological Department, heavy rainfall is expected in various parts of Sindh, particularly coastal areas, from August 26 to August 30, 2024, due to low air pressure and the ongoing monsoon season.Fishermen have been advised to avoid venturing into the deep sea during this period, move their equipment to safe locations, and take precautionary steps to prevent damage amid the potential threat of sea flooding.
