LAHORE – The Lahore Development Authority (LDA) has sealed 47 premises for illegal commercial use and not paying commercialisation fees in Lahore.
LDA Town Planning Wing teams sealed 17 buildings in Subzazar, 10 in Shadman and 20 on Wahdat Road.
The sealed premises include Sindh Bank, Soneri Bank, Depilex, Chery Showroom, Unique School, Siddiq Hospital, Mughal Lab, grocery store and other businesses.
Per the press release issued by the LDA, Chief Town Planner-I Assad-uz-Zaman supervised the operations which were carried out by Director Town Planning Zone-I Ayesha Mutahir and Director Town Planning Zone-II in their respective jurisdictions with the help of Police.
As per the LDA officials, several notices were served to these buildings’ owners before carrying out the operations.
LDA Director General Tahir Farooq has directed continuing indiscriminate operations against illegal commercial buildings and commercialization fee defaulters in Lahore.
