RAWALPINDI – Security forces killed eight India-sponsored terrorists an intelligence based operation (IBO) in Kalat District of Balochistan.
The Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) said the operation was conducted on reported presence of terrorists belonging to India proxy, Fitna al Hindustan.
During the conduct of operation, our forces effectively engaged the terrorists’ location, and after an intense fire exchange, eight were killed.
Militants associated with Fitna al Khawarij tried to ambush a security forces’ convoy in North Waziristan’s Mir Ali district, but their attempt was unsuccessful, according to reports.
The attack took place while the convoy was traveling along the main highway, passing through a residential area.
The militants attempted to strike near a populated locality, but the security forces acted quickly to prevent the assault.
Following the failed ambush, the attackers fled, and the area was sealed off by security forces, who launched a search operation in pursuit of the militants.
Weapons, ammunition and explosives were also recovered from the terrorists, who remained actively involved in numerous terrorist activities in the area.
Sanitisation operations are being conducted to eliminate any other Indian sponsored terrorist found in the area.
ISPR said the relentless Counter Terrorism campaign under vision “Azm e Istehkam” (as approved by Federal Apex Committee on National Action Plan) by security forces and law enforcement agencies of Pakistan will continue at full pace to wipe out menace of foreign sponsored and supported terrorism from the country.
