New Toll Tax For Cars And Buses On Lahore Ring Road After Fresh Surge

LAHORE – Lahore Ring Road Authority announced an increase in toll taxes for all vehicle categories as Punjab administration decided aimed at boosting revenue and funding road maintenance, takes effect without delay, leaving daily commuters, transporters, and logistics operators scrambling to adjust.

Under the new toll regime, cars and jeeps will now pay Rs70, up from Rs60. High SUVs, wagons, minibuses, and Coasters have seen their toll doubled to Rs140, while buses will now be charged Rs350 per trip.

The steepest impact falls on commercial transport. Loaders, pickups, and dumpers with two or three axles will now pay Rs420, whereas loaders, trucks, and trailers with more than three axles face a hefty toll of Rs. 700.

Lahore Ring Road Toll Rates

  • Cars & Jeeps: Rs. 70

  • High SUVs, Wagons, Minibuses, Coasters: Rs. 140

  • Buses: Rs. 350

  • Loaders, Pickups, Dumpers (2–3 axles): Rs. 420

  • Loaders, Trucks, Trailers (more than 3 axles): Rs. 700

Lahore Ring Road Authority made it clear that the revised toll structure is effective immediately, with no grace period.

The move is expected to affect daily travelers, public transport users, and commercial freight operations, highlighting the growing cost of using Lahore’s most vital transport artery and sparking concern among road users already burdened by rising expenses.
