ISLAMABAD – The highly anticipated visit of the Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud to Pakistan has been postponed till issuance of new schedule

Earlier, reports had claimed that the Saudi crown prince was scheduled to visit Pakistan on May 19 for a two-day trip. However, it has now been postponed until both parties mutually agree on a new schedule.

It is recalled that Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif had extended the invitation to MBS for visiting Pakistan during his official tour to Saudi Arabia. The invitation was accepted by Prince Mohammed bin Salman.

Reports said it is possible that MBS would visit Pakistan shortly after the Hajj and Eidul Adha holidays. Therefore, his visit could potentially take place in the third week of June, with both countries expected to finalise the schedule after the Eid festivities.

Prince Mohammed bin Salman has previously visited Pakistan twice.

Meanwhile, Foreign Office spokesperson Mumtaz Zahra Baloch stated that as soon as the schedule for the visit is confirmed, it will be made public.
