The exchange rate of Pakistan rupee depreciated by 16 paisas against the US dollar in the interbank trading on Thursday and closed at Rs 176.38 against the previous day’s closing of Rs 176.22.
According to Forex Association of Pakistan (FAP), the buying and selling rates of dollar in the open market were recorded at Rs 176.8 and Rs 178.3 respectively.
Similarly, the price of euro was appreciated by Rs 1.92 and closed at Rs 202.18 against the previous day’s closing of 200.26.
The Japanese Yen gained two paisas to close at Rs1.54, whereas an increase of Rs 1.97 was witnessed in the exchange rate of British Pound, which was traded at Rs 242.13 as compared to its last closing of Rs240.16.
The exchange rates of Emirates Dirham and Saudi Riyal increased by 05 paisas to close at Rs 48.02 and Rs 46.99 respectively.—APP
