As cricket enthusiasts gear up for an exhilarating double-header in Rawalpindi in the ongoing Paki-stan Super League (PSL) 9, the weather forecast has overshadowed the excitement surrounding the upcoming matches.

Scheduled to unfold tomorrow at the Pindi Cricket Stadium, the clash between Peshawar Zalmi and Lahore Qalandars, followed by Islamabad United versus Quetta Gladiators, might face disruption due to inclement weather.

Moreover, Lahore Qalandars and Peshawar Zalmi have taken preemptive measures by canceling their practice sessions

According to the latest report from The Weather Channel, Rawalpindi is on high alert as the chances of rain loom large, with a staggering 100% probability during the day and a still significant 70% chance at night. The forecast suggests the possibility of heavy downpours, raising concerns among cricket aficionados and players alike.

Seeking insights into the impending weather, officials from the Meteorological Office shared alarming projections. “Chances of rain with thunderstorms are likely for Saturday. In fact, rain is expected to start on Friday evening with Saturday being the most affected day of the upcoming rainy spell.”

As anticipation mounts for the matches, con-cerns are escalating over the feasibility of conducting the games amidst such adverse weather conditions. “Rain could pour in at any time during the next two days. Saturday could be the worst hit day.”—Agencies
