LAHORE – The Lahore Traffic Police has established five scooty training schools for male and female students under the Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif’s E-Bike Scheme 2026 (Phase 2).
It comes as the application portal for the Chief Minister Punjab E-Bike Scheme has been restaurants, allowing eligible students to apply for the programme.
Five Training Locations in Lahore
The scooty training schools have been established at the following five locations:
Abshar Driving School
Liberty Khidmat Markaz
Greater Iqbal Park
Traffic Police Lines Manawan
LOS Ferozepur Road
CNIC Required for Training
Students interested in receiving scooty training have been instructed to bring their CNIC and visit the designated training locations.
The Lahore Traffic Police has also allocated dedicated scooty counters at testing centres to facilitate students seeking scooty licences.
Interest-Free Financing and Subsidy
Under the scheme, eligible male and female students will receive interest-free financing to purchase bikes, along with a government subsidy. Students will be able to repay the amount through affordable monthly instalments.
The programme will also provide free helmets and safety equipment to participating students.
Electric Bike Specifications
Eligible students will receive modern electric bikes equipped with a 72-volt, 30-ampere-hour battery. The bikes will have a maximum speed of around 50 to 55 kilometres per hour and a 1,000-watt motor.
Who Can Apply?
Students enrolled in eligible public and private educational institutions across Punjab can benefit from the scheme.
Applicants must be at least 16 years old and must possess a valid driving licence or learner’s permit. A valid Computerised National Identity Card (CNIC) is also required.
Parents or legal guardians can serve as guarantors for applicants. The mobile number provided with the application must be registered in the guarantor’s name.
Application Deadline
Students can submit their applications online for the Chief Minister Punjab E-Bike Scheme until October 4, 2026.
