Punjab has started registration for online auction of premium vehicle numbers for August through the e-Auction App and Web Portal.
The App is a digital platform developed by the Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB) for the Punjab Excise, Taxation & Narcotics Control Department.
According to an official statement issued on Thursday, citizens can register online until August 30, 2026, from anywhere to participate in the auction and place bids for their preferred vehicle registration numbers.
The platform offers registration numbers for motorcycles, private cars, and commercial vehicles, while the details of successful bidders are published through the app to ensure a transparent auction process.
PITB Chairman Faisal Yousaf said the e-Auction platform uses modern digital technology to provide a secure, efficient, and transparent system for citizens to bid on premium vehicle registration numbers. He stated that digitising the auction process improves efficiency, speeds up service delivery, enhances transparency, and makes the service more convenient for the public.
Faisal Yousaf said the initiative reflects the Punjab government’s commitment to expanding digital public services through innovative technology-driven solutions that strengthen governance and improve the overall user experience.
The e-Auction App and Web Portal also remove the need for in-person visits, allowing applicants to complete the entire registration process online. The initiative is part of the Punjab government’s broader digital transformation strategy aimed at making public services more accessible, transparent, and efficient.
