The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has formally challenged the Election Commission’s decision to withhold the list of reserved seats for women in the Lahore High Court.

On Friday, PTI applied to the Lahore High Court, challenging the Election Commission’s stance on not disclosing the specific seat allocations.

In the filed petition, PTI asserts that the Peshawar High Court has already suspended the Election Commission’s decision to nullify the intra-party election.

The petition urges the Lahore High Court to issue an order compelling the Election Commission to release the list of reserved seats for women. Additionally,

PTI has requested an expedited hearing for the petition, with the hope that the High Court will consider the matter promptly.

PTI’s legal representative, Abuzar Salman Khan Niazi, filed the petition in the Lahore High Court, emphasizing the importance of transparency in the electoral process. The party awaits a swift resolution from the court regarding the release of the crucial list of reserved seats for women.
