A delegation from Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), led by former President Dr. Arif Alvi, visited the Consulate General of China in Karachi to express their condolences following the tragic killing of Chinese citizens in the recent airport blast.
The delegation included Senior Vice President of PTI Firdous Shamim Naqvi, Mustafa Karani, and Member of the Provincial Assembly Rehan. During the visit, Dr. Alvi conveyed his deep sorrow over the incident, describing it as part of a disturbing trend of heinous acts aimed at diverting attention from the crucial China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) project. “We understand the importance of our friendship with China.
I was the first head of state to visit China post-COVID-19 and had the opportunity to meet with President Xi.
This reflects the vision of Imran Khan, who has consistently advocated for China’s rapid development across various sectors,” he stated. Firdous Shamim Naqvi also offered condolences on behalf of the PTI, emphasizing the significance of the relationship between Pakistan and China. “China is our iron brother, and our focus must remain on the Belt and Road Initiative, which has the potential to transform the entire region,” he remarked. Consul General of China, Yang Yundong, warmly welcomed the delegation and expressed gratitude for PTI’s steadfast support and views on strengthening ties between the two nations. The meeting underscored the importance of collaboration and solidarity amid challenging circumstances.
