IMF Loan Approval
Earlier this Week, IMF approved a tranche of nearly $1.3 billion for Pakistan, providing a significant boost to the country’s foreign reserves.
Under the $7 billion Extended Fund Facility (EFF) program, Pakistan is set to receive over $1 billion. The first tranche also includes more than $20 million under the $1.3 billion Rapid Financing Instrument (RSAF).
With these latest disbursements, the total amount released to Pakistan under both IMF programs has now reached $3.3 billion. Officials say the funds will help stabilize the economy and support critical fiscal reforms.
Workers Remittances
Pakistan recorded workers’ remittances inflow of $3.2 billion during November 2025.
According to the data shared by the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) on Tuesday, remittances increased by 9.4 per cent on a year-on-year basis.
