Chairman Parliamentary Committee on Kashmir Syed Fakhar Imam says serving humanity is the supreme service and the Pakistan Red Crescent Society (PRCS) is playing an enviable role in the relief and rehabilitation of LoC firing victims.
He said this while addressing volunteers during his visit to the PRCS National Headquarters here on Wednesday.
Syed Fakhar Imam said the PRCS always rendered valuable services during natural disasters and emergencies and it remained in the vanguard of action during the quake of 2005 and floods of 2010, 2014, and 2015.
He said distribution of relief goods among the victims of LoC firing and detailing five ambulances and hundreds of volunteers and first aiders in the affected areas in recent days was a great humanitarian effort indeed. He said the PRCS had a sizable force of trained volunteers who are serving the humanity to the best of their capability.
Earlier, Chairman PRCS Dr Saeed Elahi thanked Syed Fakhar Imam for visiting the PRCS National Headquarters and briefed him in detailed about different programs and the steps being taken for the relief and rehabilitation of LoC firing victims.
