Pakistan Peoples’ Party (PPP) has announced to challenge the status of Tiger Force in court. PPP Deputy Information Secretary Palwasha Khan said that the federal cabinet should discuss the issues of general public instead of discussing the public rallies being organized by the opposition. Talking to media at the Press Club on Tuesday, She said that the medicines are expensive and beyond the purchasing power of the masses.The PPP leader said that the Tiger Force is a lollipop, adding that this army of extortionists will enter someone s house whenever they want. Palwasha Khan went on to say that this is against the law and the constitution, which we do not accept, adding that her party will challenge the status of Tiger Force in court. Also on Monday, PPP Senator Raza Rabbani in a statement termed the government decision to utilise services of the CRTF volunteers to check prices a joke and declared it another step towards making the country a “fascist state”. Lashing out at Prime Minister Imran Khan over his announcement to use controversial one million-strong Tiger Force of volunteers for checking prices of food items in the country, the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) said the Tiger Force had no legal sanction to act on behalf of the state. “The state apparatus has been put in cold storage and the Tiger Force has been asked to control the prices. This is a joke….. Tiger Force has no legal sanction to take any action or act on behalf of the state,” said Mr Rabbani, adding that the federal government must realise that Pakistan was not a fascist state where party functionaries and volunteers could act for and on behalf of the state.
